Introduction-

In Assam, unregistered laborers, particularly those in the construction sector, face significant challenges, including lack of awareness about registration processes and the consequent denial of government assistance. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated these issues, highlighting the urgent need for systemic interventions. Recognizing this, SATRA (Social Action for Transformation and Rehabilitation) has taken proactive steps to bridge these gaps and enhance social security for unregistered laborers through a series of targeted initiatives.
